More Lost fanart, because Lost is great and all. I really wanted to do some Ben fanart *coughisatotalBenfangirlcough*. Whenever I draw Ben, however, he keeps getting younger and younger looking. I was sort of going for
----------season 3 spoileeeeeer-------
a purge-era Ben, giant floofy sideswept hair and all, ready to off Uncle Rico in a manboyish huff
-----end spoileeeeeer -------------------
but he still ended up looking too little. Teenaged I guess. Oh well.
Anyway, this is very inspired by Byzantine style art. Something about Ben's face lends itself to the big, hooded eyes and weird angles. I'll have to try an older looking one sometime; I think it would fit well. Anyway, I've always wanted to do a series of Losties in this style.
I love those intriquate, gold-backed images of Mary and child, so I guess that was the basis for this. Lol, that bunny scares me A LOT. I can't look at him too long.
Yes, I know that rabbit looks like it could wobble off. That's why I love Medieval art; it's so elongated and wonky (just like my drawings! Yaay )
I always make Ben a redhead. Is he a redhead? Not really, but it seems that way for some reason.
Does anyone have some good Michael Emerson/Ben refernce pictures? I feel that if I could find a good one, I could keep him from looking like he's a Mouseketeer. Oh man, he would have made a great Mousketeer. He would kicked Justin Timberlake's prissy white ass.
Lost + studying for Medieval art exam = this. Whatever this is.

IS IT THURSDAY YET?!
> Photoshop 7.0 + tablet > about 3 hours > Benjamin Linus (c) those awesome Lost guys
I have absolutely no clue who Ben is (mainly cause I've hardly seen the first season of Lost, let alone the following ones ) but I'll fav this anyway cos I love the technique! Great job
Man, this is so beautiful. I really like this style and would like to see more of the characters in it.
Ben has to be among my top three favorite characters. I think I already commented saying that on your last Ben piece, but I just love his character and his back story. "The Man Behind the Curtain" was my favorite episode of season three.
I hope his character sticks around until the end - I have always liked him since he was Henry and I remember thinking, "I hope he sticks around for season three." during the season two finale.
