PAGE TWO: [link]
Last week, I had a very bizarre dream. The oddest thing was, though, that it was incredibly vivid. When I woke up, I remembered the characters, the story, the names, the scenery, and even the dialogue. I started to write it down as best as I could, and decided that I wanted to illustrate it in short comic book series. The story had shades of 'Spiderman', 'Lost', and 'Batman Begins' in it... perhaps I need to watch less television and movies. It is adapted from a dream, so it gets a little non-linear and surreal... but I like that
Oh Mr. Wendigo, haven't you ever heard of a three-armed man?
The arm-spine was one of the the most vivid parts of my dream (as was his explantion of it when asked by the Wendigo... I remember the exact words!), but the obvious sexual symbolism didn't hit me until I was sketching out the characters the next morning. I suppose you have to remember that it was MY dream
I had far too much fun colouring that tongue
One weird fact: I'm pretty sure the beast was called a 'wendigo' because, the day before the dream, my mother was telling me about a book she had read that had had a wendigo character. I didn't know anything about them, really... and the one in my dream was an avid eater of human flesh, just like the legend (as I looked up later). Weeeird.
Anyway, enjoy my strange little dream-story
