When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

"Well, what they sold there was milk plus something else. They had no license to sell liquor, but there was no law yet about prodding some of the new veshches which they used to put in the old moloko, so you could peet it with vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom or one or two other veshches which would give you a nice quiet horrowshow fifteen minutes admiring Bog And All His Holy Angels And Saints in your left shoe with lights bursting all over your mozg."- 'A Clockwork Orange', Anthony Burgess
... Trippy Well, it's been about a year since I first started (really) loving the good ol' ACO, so I decided to do some bodacious fan art (yes, I said bodacious. I'm reliving the 90's.) This is a surreal-inspired shot of all the droogies enjoying a night at the Korova Milkbar (ie: moloko-tripping... I don't suppose the walls and people NORMALLY melt into a shimmering, blood-splattered void.) Oh, I had fun with this. Also, the disconnected, mind-plain-shifted shadow of Alex in the doorway looks an awful look like Freddy, no? Yes, folks, this is a brain ejaculation. You heard me. Btw, I was looking at one of my first ACO pieces (at least, that I posted), and am terribly amused. [link] (I also am glad that I now longer (conciously) use the word 'teh' unless I am joking I really love how Pete looks here. He looks like someone I know, but I'm not sure who. Hmm...Also, I used the movie designs, just because I love them a lot, and they involve funky hats. The naked chick, btw, is the milk dispenser. Oh yes. I'm not making this up, I swear. I felt I had to throw her in Alex, Pete, Dim and Georgie-boy (unfortunetely) do not belong to me (but in a better world, they would > Photoshop 7.0 +tablet > about 2-3 hours [Full View, or Georgie-Boy will cry] "What's it gonna be then, eh?" |
