 -So, I just finished reading Wicked by the wonderful Gregory Maguire, and... OH MY GOD. What an excellent book. I'm pretty picky when it comes to literature (as opposed to, say, television, where all tripe is fair game), and this definitely passed the test. Anyway, I just -needed- to do fanart. I had to. So, when I finally got a break from a hellish week of art school, it was time to, um, make art. Yaaay. Here are Elphaba (looking rightfully bored), Glinda (looking upity), Boq (looking, uh...?), Fiyero (chatting to a Wolf in pants), and someone's hand. I hope it's Crope's. All in an oddly empty eating establishment of sorts (read: everytime I drew another table it looked rather horrible.) I've never seen the musical, and knew extremely little about it and the book before reading. After looking up on it after finishing the novel, I gotta say, it's so sugarcoated.  Bring on the depressing, dammit  Anyway, how do you guys think they compare?(please note that this still means I WANT TO SEE THE MUSICAL ever so badly, I'm just a dark person  )Sleep deprived Katie = flying spaghetti. I was actually okay with the ending to the book. I think there could have been a bit more revisited, and some of the characters were just sort of left hanging, but as much I love Elphie, I think she needed to die. Wow, that sounds worse when I type it...
