We called you Harvey Twoface by Buuya We called you Harvey Twoface by Buuya
Speedpainting done at 1130 last night. Sometimes, when you are a tired mess, you're in an almost intoxicated states, and unattractive things become very appealing. By that, I mean the smudge and dodge tool.

Frick, Twoface is ALWAYS attractive, in a drunken stupor or not. I'd bring 'im home to Mum and Dad. Well, I'd bring 'im home.

Ol' Harvey Dent/Twoface is my favorite Batty character (by that I mean Batman, though the poor boy isn't the sanest folk around.) Getting to see him in the stellar Dark Knight, played by the stellar Aaron Eckhart, was just a stellar accomulation of stellarness. Obviously.

Mm, what a winning smile :D

Why is it STILL so hard to find a ref pic of this guy? WHY GOOGLE WHY?

When in doubt, texturize the fuck out of your picture.

And I agree, Eckhart was a treat to see play Dent. Washed that awful Tommy Lee Jones taste right out of my mouth.

Thank you :)

When I was... 6? 7? Whenever that movie came out in theatres, my Aunt took my brother and cousin and I to see it. I was massively in love with TLJ's Two-Face, and wanted to be one of his crazy female sidekicks. I haven't seen that film since I was 6?7?etc., and would like to keep the idea that maybe it wasn't crappy in my head. Even though my adult self is fully aware that it is :slow:

PURPPPPLE suit. If they had gone all 'Dark Victory' Twoface, the intense purple could have just been attributed to 90's aesthetic sensibilities (if that word can be used, lol.) But no, they went so cartoony it made the animated TF blush. Hell, THAT was a realistic character.

You're most welcome :D

It came out in 1995, so however old you were then, that was it :P. And really, I moan about Jones' performance because I'm a big fan of Two-Face, and there was a scene where he ignored the command of his coin, instead flipping on the same issue until he got the outcome he wanted. I wasn't livid then, but in retrospect, I should have been. Batman Forever, on most accounts, isn't all that bad, besides that major complaint. Batman & Robin was a far worse crime against humanity.

Incidentally, I've composed a completely esoteric, convoluted movie rating system called the Batman & Robin Movie Gradation Scale, whereby I judge movies in comparison to that movie (a lower numerical score means it's less like B&R, and thus better). Yes, I am that bitter :D

Yeah, the suit was pretty out there, but to use the term "90's aesthetic sensibilities," then to me it always seemed like the filmmakers were just trying to "Movie up" the Batman TAS design. At least that's how I read it when I saw it as a kid. But I think the leopard stripes sort of killed it. Now, TDK, I LOVED how they pulled off the whole "asymmetrical suit" sort of look without actually having him take the time to have one tailored. Very clever, I would have never thought of it.

i was gonna say, bring Harvey home and you won't have a Mom and Dad ...

texturise like hell indeed! old trick, that ;)

so u drew this after a few drinks eh? i recently did smthg in a similar intoxicated state and i tot well, this looks great now but it'll turn out crap when i look at it with sober eyes. in fact the opposite was true. it looked a lot better in the morning..! =P or was i still drunk? anyways intoxicated or not, u draw/paint great. `good to know talent is talent regardless of how much alcohol one has consumed.

may i say this? your Harvey does not look like Aaron Eckhart. your Harvey is actually SExiEr than Aaron Eckhart! electric-blue eyes, extreemo ('extreme emo' a.k.a bludy furious & abt to turn the world into cinders) scowl, hair that is just ruffled enuf to be bad-ass, and oh all that hot-pink texturey backdrop..... the whole image is almost drool-worthy.

i am so faving this.

I couldn't help but wonder if his eyeball could still function as it did with the surrounding flesh and stuff burned off. I mean, shouldn't it have popped out or something? (All the disturbing things that the Joker does, and TwoFace's eyeball is the only thing that irks me about the film...)

This depiction of TwoFace is possibly scarier than the movie version. I love the texture overload! And the painterly look of the non-textured parts. And the colors. ...OK, all of it.

I must say that the pairing of TwoFace and pink is an unexpected one. :giggle: Fun, but unexpected.

Two-Face was my favorite after the Riddler.

I wonder what the next movie's villain will be? Go Riddler Go!

Or Clay-face :XD: He scared me as a child.

Or that mafia-puppet, he was hilarious.

Mr. Freeze isn't allowed after the Arnold incident :XD:

luff man, i gotta do a pic of heeem, but i always have such a problem with drawing really attractive (in my opinion) people...they just dont look right.

i think eckhart did an awesome job as dent, it was great to see him yell and get angrey, 'cause i'd never seen him do that before.....favorite line was when he was in the hospital bed and he yells "say it!" to the cop, whose name i cant remember fore the life of me, its just awesome all the emotion he got into it.

...watch meet bill...its great

Man, I knew that Aaron Eckhart was going to be Two Face, but I nearly sobbed when they marred that pretty face of his. D:

Haha, I think the extra texture looks good! Love what you did with the patches of color on the burned side of his face. It's very subtle. (Well, if a horribly disfigured pile of ligaments and pus CAN be subtle...)

('Google Images' is a faulty device at best.)

This is AMAZING ... he was fantastic in The Dark Knight (hell, EVERYTHING was fantastic in the TDK) but I'm glad I watched 'No Reservations' before TDK came out, because I won't be able to see Aaron Eckhart in anything else without fearing he's gonna go all dark and flip a coin ...

What gets ME is that he was kinda evil even BEFORE half his face got burnt off ... *shudders*
