OMG BIG FILE ALERT!

Okay, so this is more a piece about process than actually doing solid drawings

I've always been fascinated by artist process... looking in someone's sketchbook and seeing how they think through ideas and characters and designs. Everyone works through a character differently, and those scratchy little doodles can be the birth of something you take with you for a long time.

Anyway, these are some of my doodles (and yes, some of them are VERY doodly.) I'm a bit embarrassed to put up some of the super sketchy ones, but as mentioned, this is a piece about process, not correct anatomy.. or logical anatomy. It takes a while to really define a character's look, their personality, and everything in between... do you just start drawing, or is it a more structured affair?

These characters are my way to wind down. At the end of the day, it's nice to doodle something that's purely for your own amusement, lol. They're exercises in trying to develop consistent characters, and while they do exist in the context of a story, it's more about relaxing and practicing.
