Quick speedpaint of Hugh, cutest cyborg ever. Aww, borg puberty, HE JUST WANTS TO EXPRESS HIMSELF OKAY??

I know a lot of people rag on that episode for defanging the borg, but I can't help but love it. It's always unnerving to look into the eyes of the enemy, and realize that they aren't being purposefully malicious. Maybe that's what makes the borg so creepy in the first place; they aren't power-lusting or bloodthirsty or greedy... they're just doing what they are compelled to do.

Also, wee lil' Hugh-borg's emerging sense of self makes for pretty powerful television (but that's just me.) Great to watch Guinan and Picard face their own prejudices.

But yeah. More speedpainting, aho! ahaha dat handdd, oh lawdy.
