[link]Only 8 more months until new LOST? Uh, I can last.
...
...
NO, NO I CAN'T. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, I CAN'T. WHAT THE FRICK.
...
Ahem.
Anyway, to combat the
achingly long wait, I am embracing a new art challenge (which you can feel free to join!) Basically, draw a LOST character for every day in June. * Something like the Owltober art-a-thon.
* Please note, work-related circumstances may delay the once-a-day submission. The main goal is to draw 30 Losties by approx. the end of June. Some of these may be pairs of people (how the frick can you separate Rose and Bernard, unless you have a heart of shit and steel?)
Uploading will start on the first. And so it begins.
The drawings may be semi-polished, scratchy, scruffy, scribbled on napkins, sketchbook fare, slick and digital, or whatever the hell actually happens. There are no real rules. Join the fun.

My back hurts. A moshpitter fell on top of me last night, kicking my eye in the process. Major lulz. It was awesome
I went to a
Disturbed concert last night. Halifax, for its somewhat feeble population, certainly knows how to come out and rock. It was an intense atmosphere, and I left drenched in the sweat of thousands of strangers (and a few known faces.) We weaseled our way almost up to the fence (slowly taking the places of people who passed out), and were only a few feet from a screaming and thrashing David Draiman. I'm certain his spit landed on my cheek on more than one occasion. It was EPIC, and bruising and deafening and EPIC and smelly and EPIC. EPICGASM.
I love when everyone else is dripping sweat and you don't have to care that you are too so everyone jumps around some more and gets more intense and smellier. Fuck yeah. Most of my musical excursions nowadays are of lighter and/or indie venue fare, so it was nice to mosh-it-up with shirtless strangers who head-banged and lit up simultaneously.
And I sang along to all the songs. A-WHA-AH-AH-AH.
Has anyone heard of the band 'Art of Dying'? They were one of the opening bands. Very, very good stuff. We bought the cd afterwards and talked to the members. Nice lads. I think they're from the west coast? Skindred played as well, and they can get the kids on their feet. Catchy stuff.
Yep. See any interesting shows lately?
LOVELY BEAUTIFUL ART, OH MY!

Devious Comments
Does it have to be a different character everytime? Or are we allowed to do repeats?
I'm doing separate characters, but only as an excuse to draw some lesser-fandomed faces. You can certainly do series of one character, or even do 30 different scenes from the show. Whatever, really! It's all about Lost-related fun

"You two, we're at the end of the universe, eh? Right at the edge of knowledge itself, and you're busy ... blogging!"
God, I have no clue how to live my life without LOST. I have two friends who always watch it the day after, I'm so used to bugging them between Wednesday and Thursday... I can't nao! Gah I love LOST so much, but the waits KILL

"So, what's in this bouncy ball?"
"I think it's goo."
"Really? It doesn't smell like goo, it smells like. . . FURBIES!!!"
". . ."
"What?"

And I know someone who saw a Disturbed concert some time back... he couldn't believe that I had never heard of Disturbed or any of his other favorite bands before. And I've heard moshpits aren't for the meek or faint of heart-- I know another person who got quite a bruising in one.
